QiangFu went on to study for a Master of Science at Guangxi University with a passion for veterinary medicine-related affairs after obtaining a Master of Agriculture from Foshan University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. After that (2013), he obtained his Ph.D. from Sun Yat-Sen University. During his Ph.D. study, he mainly devoted himself to the research of Streptococcus equi ssp. zooepidemicus and published several papers in Veterinary Microbiology, Vaccine, etc. After graduation, he was employed by the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Bureau of Nanhai District, Foshan City, and returned to Foshan University as a teacher for one year. He was promoted to associate professor in 2016 and professor three years later. He is currently the Deputy Dean of the School of Life Science and Engineering, Foshan University.
During the teaching period, he undertook courses such as “Veterinary Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment Technology” and “Small Animal Diseases” for postgraduates; guided the first postgraduate students to be admitted to doctoral students in the national “double first-class” construction universities; guided students to obtain “Young Scientists” at the Pig Industry Expo (Guangzhou) “Forum Excellence Award, China Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Association Veterinary Pathology Symposium “Excellent Paper” Award, National College Student Animal Medicine Professional Skills Competition First Prize and South China Veterinary Pig Disease Diagnosis and Treatment Competition First Prize.
Besides science, Fu Qiang also likes to play badminton, table tennis and football.
